We exist so every student in Loudoun — regardless of which school they attend — has a real path into building and competing with robots.
Loudoun Robotics exists for one reason: every student in Loudoun County should have a real path into competition robotics.
Robotics teaches kids to design, build, fail, fix, and ship. To talk to judges, argue strategy, and lead a team through a season. Those aren't hobby skills — they're the skills that shape careers in engineering, computer science, and product.
We're a parent-founded, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) running camps, supporting teams with grants, publishing free curriculum, and helping families find or start a program close to home. Loudoun is one of the country's biggest technology corridors — and we want every kid here to grow up with a real shot at being part of that.
We're open to every student in Loudoun County.
We bring FIRST robotics programs to every student in Loudoun County. The goal: a generation of engineers, founders, and problem-solvers that comes from every zip code in Loudoun.
Represented by the eight spikes of our gear logo — each principle is what we return to when we make decisions about programs, partnerships, and growth.
No student turned away because of their school, family income, or zip code.
Real engineering. Build, break, fix, ship — no watered-down simulations.
Parents, coaches, mentors, and teams. Nobody does this alone.
Every kid who wonders how things work is a kid we want on a team.
Teaching kids to fail well is teaching them to build anything.
Clear about what we do, what we can't, and how every dollar is spent.
Every donor dollar goes where a donor would expect it to go.
Older teams mentor younger ones. Rivals help each other mid-match. That's the culture we teach.
Loudoun Robotics is parent-founded and student-led. Our advisors guide strategy and governance; our student ambassadors run programs, mentor peers, and represent us in schools and across the Loudoun community.
Loudoun Robotics is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
